"I admit being a bit hesitant about going to another country for medical care. I always thought that the other countries could not match the sophisticated care here at home in the U.S. I was wrong. I went to Apollo hospital in India for treatment and I wasn’t sure if I walked into the lobby of a Five Star hotel or a hospital. When I spoke to a program manager from your office, he told me that the medical equipment at hospitals in Thailand are comparable to the medical equipment here in the U.S., I laughed. Now that I am back from Thailand, I think the medical equipment abroad is more advanced than in the U.S. I think its because they don’t have so many procedures and red-tape for getting everything approved. I want to thank your staff for educating me on this process. I would never have gone if I didn’t know any better. It saved me a lot of money but more importantly it saved my life.

"I have stayed overnight in hospitals in the U.S. and they usually have one or two nurses to every floor and a few orderlies who attend to the patients. I was in Lakeshore Hospital in India and there are about 5 nurses to every patient. When I got the hospital bill, I couldn’t believe the total amount. "Last year I had a hip replacement procedure done in India. My doctor in the U.S. is from India and I always felt that he is a brilliant doctor so I wasn’t sure about going to someone else. I flew to India, stayed at a 5 star hotel ( which was probably the best hotel I ever stayed at in my life ). Your local staff guy here took me to a nice restaurant for breakfast, and then he took me to the hospital where I met my doctor. The doctor came out, shook my hand, and asked me where in the U.S. I live. He then went on to tell me that he practiced in the U.S. for over 20 years before deciding to return back to India. He said there are a lot of doctors in India that have practiced in the U.S. and U.K. Anyway, I was very comfortable all through my stay. The doctor and the nurses were very knowledgeable. When I arrived in the United States, I met with my local doctor who had already received my records from the hospital in India".
